ABC Realtor's office recruits Frontier PC to deliver a cost-effective
IP video surveillance migration solution to strengthen security and accessibility.
ABC realtor's office is a 4,000-square luxury house located in Richmond, BC. Up until recently house was monitored
by a 4-camera CCTV system, which did not support some of the more modern security features like remote
viewing and high-resolution video. Also, the 4 cameras only cover the front and back yard. They need more
cameras to cover the sides and some inside area.
After conducting a thorough site audit and comprehensive needs assessment, Frontier PC present an IP video
surveillance migration plan that would provide remote viewing and recording accessibility, HD video resolution,
and the flexibility to add more IP cameras over time.
ABC realtor's office CCTV camera system was upgraded to IP video surveillance technology and expanded
with 7 new HD 720p indoor/outdoor surveillance cameras. By migrating to an IP video surveillance system,
ABC realtor's office was able to keep all of its existing CCTV cameras. With the addition of remote
accessibility and incredibly detailed video footage of living room, entry area and staff office room,
ABC realtor's office has become better insulated against theft, business liability, and customer service issues.
- Remote accessibility from laptop, tablet, and smartphone
- Clearer, better detailed video to monitor high-traffic areas
- Reduces business liability
- Enhanced operations monitoring
- Keeping existing cameras saves money
Frontier PC IP surveillance team performed a thorough on-site security audit at ABC realtor's office
to better understand the current system and the office's technical requirements. After a complete evaluation,
it was determined that an IP video surveillance migration plan, including the addition of 7 new HD security
cameras, would deliver the results that office needed to combat theft and monitor operations. Since the power
is ready on each camera location, we decided to use WIFI technology to protect the luxury house by cabling damage.
The migration plan allowed ABC realtor's office to keep all 4 of its CCTV cameras connects to a video encoder
that converts CCTV to IP video surveillance. 7 HD 720p cameras were recommended, and then installed inside the building
to monitor the living room, staff office, hall way, entry area and outside the building to monitor the two side doors.
Frontier PC designed a cost-effective IP video surveillance solution comprised of
an Axis Q7404 video encoder, 4
Axis M1034-W HD indoor cameras, 3
Axis M1114-E HD outdoor cameras, and
QNAP VioStor VS-2112 PRO+ Video Surveillance Station.
We designed 4 wireless access points to cover the whole building and share the video traffic. We chose EnGenius ENH200 to
convert the outdoor camera to WIFI connection.
The AXIS Q7404 Video Encoder is a high performance, four-channel standalone solution that integrates four
analog cameras at a time into an IP-based video surveillance system. AXIS Q7404 delivers superb video quality
and significant savings in bandwidth and storage with H.264.

establishment like ABC realtor office. They all come with HDTV 720p / 1MP quality, multiple H.264 streams,
easy and flexible installation. M1034-W comes with build in Wifi support and M1114-E is ready for outdoor service.
To view, record, and manage its upgraded system, ABC realtor's office now has a QNAP VioStor VS-2112 PRO+ Video
Surveillance Station. Powered by the Intel ? dual-core processor and 4GB of memory, it delivers high performance at a
throughput rate of 180 Mbps to ensure stable recordings and smooth playbacks of multiple megapixel cameras. The 2-bay

solid reliability and high-definition local display.

and technical assistance. At the on-site security audit, the technical team assessed the wiring and
building specifications to design a fully integrated and scalable IP video solution
The IP video tech experts at Frontier PC configured the entire system, including the HD cameras and QNAP
VioStor VS-2112 PRO+ Video Surveillance Station. The team also set up remote access so that the owner would
be able to view all 11 cameras on his smartphone.
The HD cameras were mounted on the ceiling or wall to get a wide shot of the dedicated area. Since the IP
system is WIFI system, no data cable is required to complete installation, making it flexible and easy to get
up and running.
