SIIG's DP FireWire PCIe is an excellent adapter card for you to connect multiple high-speed FireWire devices to your system. It is designed to easily add three FireWire 400 (1394a) ports (two external and one internal) to your PCI Express-enabled PC or Mac® desktop computer. It supports data transfer rates of up to 400 Mb/s, and allows you to hot-swap devices (connect and disconnect) without first turning your system off. This 3-Port dual profile FireWire adapter card comes with a spare low profile bracket for low profile system chassis installations. It is the most reliable and cost-effective solution to connect your high-speed FireWire devices such as DV camcorders, digital cameras, hard disk drive enclosures, and CD-RW/DVD-ROMs to your PC or Mac computer.
